Thank You For Supporting Our Graduates!

Each year the Oakland Indian Education Center hosts a graduate recognition night to bring together the Native community and acknowledge the efforts and accomplishments of youth in our programs who succeed despite the challenges and obstacles they face daily.  Drawing on cultural traditions, we honor each graduating or completing youth with a hand selected Pendleton Blanket.

Anticipating a large graduating class this year, we asked for your help to purchase these blankets and host this important event.   We are happy to announce we have now reached our Recognition Night goal!   Please join us At 6:00 June 19th at Intertribal Friendship House to recognize and celebrate Oakland’s Native youth. For more information  check out our  Event Page

Thank you to everyone who has donated to make our graduate recognition night possible!
